Mechanical Engineer

About the role

The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and improvement of the hotel's mechanical systems and equipment. The role ensures that all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain hotel mechanical systems and equipment.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance of mechanical equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, chillers, pumps, boilers, compressors, generators, and related systems.
• Conduct regular inspections and identify potential equipment problems.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergency maintenance concerns.
• Monitor energy and utility consumption and recommend efficiency improvements.
• Prepare maintenance reports, inspection records, and equipment documentation.
• Coordinate with contractors and suppliers for repairs, servicing, and installations.
• Assist in engineering projects, renovations, and equipment upgrades.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Licensed Mechanical Engineer (PRC) is preferred/required depending on the position and applicable regulations.
• At least 2–3 years of experience in mechanical engineering, maintenance, or facilities management.
• Hotel, resort, commercial building, or facilities experience is an advantage.
• Knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, pumps, boilers, and mechanical systems.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and engineering documentation.
• Willing to work shifting schedules, weekends, holidays, and emergency call-outs when required.
