JOB TITLE: MECHANICAL ENGINEER

We are seeking a skilled and results-driven Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, install, maintain, and improve mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and practical experience in mechanical engineering principles. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that mechanical systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable engineering standards.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Design, develop, test, and oversee the installation of mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Prepare technical drawings, engineering specifications, reports, and maintenance schedules.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical systems and machinery.
• Identify mechanical faults and provide effective solutions to minimize equipment downtime.
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.
• Work with other engineers, technicians, contractors, and operations teams to execute projects.
• Ensure all mechanical installations and maintenance activities comply with safety and engineering standards.
• Conduct equipment testing, commissioning, and performance evaluations.
• Assist with the selection, procurement, and installation of mechanical equipment and components.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment inspections, repairs, maintenance activities, and engineering projects.
• Supervise mechanical technicians and contractors where required.
• Participate in project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution.
• Stay updated on new mechanical technologies, tools, and industry best practices.

REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS

• Bachelor's degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field.
• Relevant professional certification or engineering registration is an added advantage.
• Proven experience in mechanical engineering, maintenance, manufacturing, construction, oil & gas, or a related industry.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, machinery, equipment, and engineering principles.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and manuals.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in engineering/design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
• Attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.

Pay: ₦250,000.00 per month
