Mechanical Engineer

About the role

The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring mechanical works to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor all mechanical construction activities on site.
• Review mechanical plans, specifications, shop drawings, and equipment submittals.
• Coordinate mechanical works with architectural, structural, electrical, plumbing, sanitary, and fire protection works.
• Supervise installation of HVAC, ventilation, refrigeration/cold storage, pumps, piping, and mechanical equipment.
• Conduct inspections and ensure quality and compliance with approved plans and specifications.
• Monitor manpower, materials, equipment, productivity, and project progress.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems.
• Prepare daily/weekly reports, inspection requests, testing records, and other project documentation.
• Assist in preparation of as-built drawings, equipment schedules, O&M manuals, and turnover documents.
• Ensure compliance with project safety requirements and applicable Philippine standards.

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Licensed Mechanical Engineer preferred/required based on project requirements.
• Minimum 3 years relevant construction experience.
• Experience in HVAC, ventilation, refrigeration, mechanical piping, and equipment installation is an advantage.
• Experience in laboratory, food-processing, meat-processing, commercial, or institutional projects is an advantage.
• Proficient in reading mechanical plans and technical specifications.
• Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD.
• Strong site supervision, coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to work on-site and coordinate with contractors and project personnel.
