Mechanical Engineer

My client is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their team in the Netherlands. This is an exciting opportunity to work on challenging engineering projects within a highly regulated and safety-critical environment while contributing to the long-term reliability and innovation of nuclear energy systems.

The Role

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be involved throughout the full engineering lifecycle, from concept development and design through to implementation, commissioning, maintenance, and operational support. Working within multidisciplinary teams, you will contribute to projects involving nuclear systems, facility upgrades, engineering modifications, and operational improvements.

Your Responsibilities

• Design, modify, and improve mechanical systems and equipment.
• Support maintenance and operational activities within a nuclear environment.
• Plan, coordinate, and manage engineering projects and design changes.
• Prepare and review technical documentation, specifications, calculations, and engineering reports.
• Collaborate with suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Provide technical support and expertise to multidisciplinary project teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve plant performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and regulatory frameworks.

What We’re Looking for

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience within industries such as Nuclear, Power Generation, Energy, Oil & Gas, Chemical, Pharmaceutical, or other Process Industries.
• Experience across the engineering lifecycle, including design, implementation, maintenance, commissioning, or project execution.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, equipment design, and engineering standards.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• A proactive and quality-focused approach to engineering challenges.

Relocation
