Job Summary

Design, coordinate, and deliver mechanical systems across construction projects while developing hands-on engineering expertise.

Be Part of Our Growth

We are a young, ambitious, and rapidly expanding engineering company going through an exciting period of transformation.

We're not just growing our business — we're building our people along with it.

Being part of a growing organisation means opportunities to learn, take on new responsibilities, explore different areas of the business, and make a real impact. There is plenty of room for ideas, development, and career progression as we continue to evolve.

We're looking for people who are driven, curious, adaptable, and hungry to learn. People who are willing to ask questions, solve problems, take ownership, and grow beyond their current capabilities.

If you're someone who enjoys new challenges, possibilities, and the opportunity to help shape something bigger, come grow with us.

Your potential is not limited by where we are today — it grows with where we're going.
About the Role

We are looking for a driven and technically capable Mechanical Engineer to join our growing engineering team.

You will be involved in the design, coordination, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical systems across construction projects. This includes HVAC, plumbing, piping, fire protection, and other building mechanical services.

You will work closely with project managers, electrical engineers, civil engineers, architects, contractors, and site teams to ensure mechanical systems are properly designed, coordinated, installed, and delivered according to project requirements.

This role provides valuable exposure to mechanical design, construction projects, site coordination, commissioning, troubleshooting, and project execution.

Responsibilities

Mechanical Design & Engineering
Develop mechanical layouts, schematics, drawings, and technical documentation.
Perform mechanical load calculations and system sizing.
Design and coordinate mechanical systems for building and construction projects.
Review designs and provide practical engineering solutions.
Ensure designs meet project requirements and applicable standards.

HVAC & ACMV Systems
Design and coordinate HVAC/ACMV systems.
Support equipment selection, sizing, and system planning.
Review ducting, piping, ventilation, and air-distribution layouts.
Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Support testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of HVAC systems.

Plumbing & Piping
Plan and coordinate water supply, drainage, and piping systems.
Review piping layouts and installation requirements.
Coordinate installation activities with contractors and site teams.
Inspect completed works and identify defects or discrepancies.

Fire Protection Systems
Coordinate mechanical aspects of fire protection and suppression systems.
Ensure installations follow applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.
Work with relevant contractors and consultants during installation and testing.

Site Installation & Commissioning
Supervise and monitor mechanical installation works on site.
Coordinate contractors and ensure works follow approved drawings and specifications.
Support testing, commissioning, and system start-up.
Identify and resolve technical or site-related issues.
Conduct inspections and ensure proper handover of completed works.

Project Coordination
Work closely with electrical, civil, architectural, and other engineering teams.
Coordinate mechanical works to avoid clashes and construction delays.
Attend site meetings and technical discussions where required.
Monitor project progress and highlight potential issues.
Support project teams in achieving timelines and quality requirements.

Safety & Compliance
Ensure mechanical works comply with applicable codes, standards, and safety requirements.
Support risk assessments and safe work practices.
Identify potential safety or environmental issues.
Participate in inspections, audits, and site safety activities.

Documentation & Reporting
Prepare and maintain technical drawings, reports, calculations, and project documentation.
Prepare progress updates and technical reports for management and clients.
Maintain records of inspections, testing, commissioning, and handover.
Review and update drawings and documentation where required.

RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Relevant experience in construction, building services, M&E, HVAC, or engineering projects is advantageous.
Strong understanding of mechanical building systems and construction practices.
Knowledge of HVAC/ACMV, plumbing, piping, and fire protection systems.
Familiarity with applicable mechanical codes, standards, and safety requirements.
Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, or other mechanical design software.
Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Good communication and coordination skills.
Able to work independently as well as with project and site teams.
Organised and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and safety.
Proactive, responsible, and willing to take ownership of assigned work.
Driven, curious, adaptable, and willing to learn in a growing organisation.
Willing to travel to project sites when required.

Why Join Us?

This is more than a role focused on drawings and calculations. You will gain real project and site exposure, working across mechanical systems from design through installation and commissioning.

As the company continues to grow, there will be opportunities to take on greater responsibilities, develop broader engineering capabilities, and explore different areas of the business.

If you're someone who enjoys solving problems, getting hands-on with projects, and continuously learning, this is an opportunity to grow your engineering career alongside a company with plenty of potential.

If you're driven, curious, and ready to build your engineering career with a company that's shaping its future, we want to hear from you.
