Mechanical Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Maintain and update maintenance-related documentation, including logbooks, check sheets, SOPs, and Work Instructions (WI).

• Carry out breakdown and preventive maintenance of packing lines and utility equipment.

• Handle manpower and coordinate maintenance activities during shifts.

• Troubleshoot and maintain dairy/food processing equipment, including:

• Homogenizers

• Pasteurizers

• Continuous Freezers

• Candy & Cone Lines

• Hardening Tunnels

• Cup Filling Machines

• Perform maintenance of utility and mechanical equipment such as:

• Pumps

• Compressors

• Chillers

• Dryers

• Boilers

• Pipelines and fittings

• Gearboxes

• Bearings

• Conveyors

• Have good knowledge of mechanical fitting tools and measuring instruments.

• Ensure proper execution of preventive maintenance schedules and timely troubleshooting of equipment breakdowns.

• Follow basic safety procedures and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) while carrying out maintenance activities.

• Coordinate with production and other departments to minimize equipment downtime.

Qualification:

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

Experience:

• 34 years of relevant experience in Mechanical Maintenance, preferably in the Food/Dairy/Manufacturing industry.
