Job Description – Mechanical Engineer (steel structures, metal fabrication, or architectural metalwork exterior & Interior Designing)

Job Summary

Ultimate Buildmart is looking for a *Mechanical Engineer* with practical knowledge of *steel work, fabrication, and AutoCAD*. The candidate should be able to understand technical drawings, prepare/modify drawings in AutoCAD, coordinate with fabricators and site teams, and ensure that steel-related work is executed according to the required specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, modify, and review *2D drawings using AutoCAD*.
• Handle and coordinate *steel fabrication and installation work*.
• Read and interpret engineering, fabrication, and structural drawings.
• Prepare measurements, material requirements, and basic *BOQs* for steel works.
• Coordinate with fabricators, vendors, contractors, and site teams.
• Monitor fabrication and installation activities to ensure work is completed according to drawings and specifications.
• Conduct site visits for measurements, inspections, and technical coordination.
• Identify technical issues during fabrication/installation and coordinate their resolution.
• Ensure proper dimensions, alignment, finishing, and quality of steel work.
• Coordinate with the design and project teams for drawing revisions and technical requirements.
• Maintain records of drawings, measurements, material requirements, and site progress.
• Perform any other technical/project-related tasks assigned by management.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering* or a relevant engineering discipline.
• Practical knowledge of *steel fabrication and steel-related works*.
• Good command of *AutoCAD*, particularly 2D technical drawings.
• Ability to read and understand engineering and fabrication drawings.
• Knowledge of steel materials, sections, fabrication processes, welding, cutting, and installation.
• Basic understanding of measurements, quantities, and material estimation.
• Good site coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate with fabricators and contractors.
• Willingness to travel to project sites when required.

Preferred Experience

• 1–3 years of relevant experience in steel fabrication, engineering, construction, or project-based work.
• Candidates with hands-on experience in steel structures, metal fabrication, or architectural metalwork exterior & Interior Designing will be preferred.

Pay: Rs90,000.00 - Rs120,000.00 per month
