Mechanical Engineer

Mechanical Engineer responsible for developing and refining manufacturing processes, from design to production, ensuring compliance with quality standards and customer specifications. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to optimize part design, workflow, and production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
Create 3D models and drawings to support manufacturing.

Update processes in SolidWorks and Amada 4i to improve efficiency.

Assure compliance of manufacturing methods with quality requirements and standards.

Submit SPS to the customer to clarify design issues and recommend solutions.

Oversee incorporation of customer-issued drawings and process changes into systems.

Oversee product repairs, reworks, and Non-Conforming Material Report disposition and root cause validation.

Collaborate with Quality to dispose of pre-SCAR and SCAR non-conformances and take corrective actions.

Collaborate with other disciplines to develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods.

Validate processes through hands-on review and discussions with shop personnel.

Monitor and verify completion of engineering tasks against milestone plans.

Execute duties assigned by the Engineering Manager.

Support the NPI process for assigned manufacturing projects.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

4+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably sheet metal and/or machining.

Knowledge of Excel, SolidWorks, and print reading required.

Familiarity with GD&T principles and application in design documentation.

Proficiency with MRP/ERP systems essential.

Proficiency with MS Office Suite required.

Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional team members.
