Mechanical Engineer

Overview
We're looking for a hands-on Mechanical Engineer who is as comfortable on the shop floor as in CAD. You'll design parts and assemblies, then work alongside our fabricators and machinists to build, inspect, and improve them.

Duties

• Design parts, weldments, and assemblies in SolidWorks with a focus on manufacturability.
• Create shop-ready drawings with GD&T, weld callouts, and flat patterns.
• Support CNC machining, fabrication, and welding from first part through production.
• Design jigs and fixtures that improve repeatability and speed.
• Inspect parts with calipers, micrometers, and other shop tools.
• Troubleshoot build and quality problems at the machine and fix root causes.
• Take customer prototypes from sketch to finished part.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent shop experience.
• Hands-on experience in a fabrication or machine shop.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD.
• Working knowledge of GD&T, tolerancing, and design for manufacturing.
• Familiarity with CNC machining and MIG/TIG welding. Welding ability is a plus.
• Knowledge of steel, stainless, and aluminum and how they cut, bend, and weld.
• Clear communication with customers, machinists, and welders.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in an active shop environment.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
