Job Overview

Container Hub Trading LLC is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to support the design, fabrication, modification, and installation of container-based structures and related mechanical systems. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge, site coordination skills, and experience in fabrication or container modification projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review mechanical drawings, layouts, and technical specifications.
• Design and develop mechanical systems for container modification and conversion projects.
• Coordinate with the workshop, fabrication team, suppliers, subcontractors, and site teams.
• Review drawings, BOQs, material specifications, and project requirements.
• Prepare material take-offs, estimates, and technical submissions.
• Supervise fabrication, installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Ensure work is completed according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.
• Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues during fabrication and installation.
• Coordinate with Civil, Electrical, Architectural, and Project teams.
• Check materials and fabricated components for compliance with specifications.
• Prepare progress reports, inspection reports, and other project documentation.
• Support procurement by identifying suitable materials, equipment, and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with applicable UAE safety and engineering standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in container modification, fabrication, construction, MEP, or industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, fabrication, and installation.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD; familiarity with other engineering/design software is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of BOQ, material estimation, and technical documentation.
• Strong coordination and communication skills.
• UAE experience is preferred.
• Valid UAE driving license is an advantage.
