What they need
Mechanical Engineer - working in manufacturing, for stable company for over 30 years.
Position
- Design for manufacturing to include, guards, chutes, conveyors, and fixtures in 3D CAD and release buildable drawings
- Modify and improve production equipment
- Select components for motors, gearboxes, bearings, belts, and pneumatic components
- Support utilities including refrigeration, steam, compressed air, and water
- Solve repeat failures for good and help build smarter spare parts strategies
- Work with fab shops and vendors from quote to install
Looking for
- BS in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent design experience)
- 3+ years of mechanical design in manufacturing
- Strong 3D CAD skills (SolidWorks a plus) and GD&T knowledge
- Experience with drive selection, machine guarding, and engineering calcs
