Mechanical Engineer

The Mechanical Engineer will provide technical expertise to support the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of renewable energy assets. This role works closely with operations, maintenance, and project teams to deliver engineering solutions, optimize equipment performance, and support capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical engineering support for renewable energy facilities.
• Lead equipment assessments, troubleshooting, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Support capital projects from design through execution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, contractors, and vendors.
• Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng./OIQ) designation required.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in power generation, renewable energy, or a related industry.
• Experience with rotating equipment, power plant systems, and project execution.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Fluency in French required.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
