Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join an established

Architectural/Engineering environment serving public and private-sector clients.

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the design and project management of

mechanical systems for commercial building projects, with a strong focus on HVAC design. The role involves working closely with architects, structural and civil engineers, electrical engineers, owners, and clients.

Key Responsibilities

· Design mechanical systems for commercial building applications.

· Design and develop HVAC systems from concept through construction documentation.

· Prepare and review mechanical engineering drawings and construction documents.

· Use AutoCAD and Revit for mechanical design and documentation.

· Perform engineering calculations and equipment selection. Coordinate mechanical systems with architectural, structural, electrical, and other disciplines.

· Participate in project management activities and coordinate project deliverables.

· Review designs for compliance with applicable building codes and standards.

· Support project teams during design and construction phases.

· Communicate effectively with clients, architects, contractors, owners, and other engineering disciplines.

· Manage multiple assignments while meeting project schedules and deadlines.

· Stay current with applicable Ohio mechanical and building codes and design requirements.

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

· 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience required.

· Ohio Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred/required, or willingness and

· eligibility to take the PE examination.

· Strong experience with commercial HVAC system design.

· Experience in a consulting engineering environment.

· Experience with HVAC system design and project management.

· Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

· Familiarity with current State of Ohio design processes and requirements.

· Working knowledge of applicable Ohio building and mechanical codes.

· Strong understanding of mechanical building systems and engineering principles.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
