A Growing and well established Electronic Component Manufacturer located in Farmingdale, NY is seeking a mechanical engineer.

JOB TITLE: Mechanical Engineer – CAD Designer

DEPARTMENT: Engineering
JOB DESCRIPTION:
American Aerospace Controls Inc is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to create and modify detailed drawings using CAD software from sketches, layouts or notes provided by engineering. SolidWorks preferred. Individual shall contribute design modifications to facilitate manufacturing operation or quality of product. Verifies drawing specifications vs specified requirements for correctness and conformance to industry standards. Works with engineers regarding mechanical design packaging, mechanical standards and ECN/ECR documentation. JOB REQUIREMENTS:

1. CAD software (SolidWorks)

2. Design modifications to facilitate manufacturing operation or quality of product

3. Assist in mechanical design concepts and modifications

4. ECN / ECR Documentation generation and maintenance

EXPERIENCE:
2+ years of relevant mechanical design experience
Proficiency with SolidWorks or applicable CAD Design software
Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office
Develops novel solutions to engineering problems
Strong attention to detail
Analysis, Design and Concept skills required
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Strong technical communication skills
Ability to read, interpret and present drawings and documentation
Experience in the preparation of presentation documents
