Good engineering is about finding solutions that work in practice. This role is suited to a Mechanical Engineer who enjoys solving technical challenges, developing designs and seeing projects progress from concept through to implementation.

It’s a varied opportunity for someone who wants to apply sound engineering judgement, contribute ideas and take ownership of meaningful technical work.

The Key Responsibilities

• Develop and refine mechanical designs, components and engineering solutions to meet project requirements.
• Produce and review technical drawings, specifications and supporting documentation.
• Carry out engineering calculations, assessments and design checks.
• Work with manufacturing, suppliers and internal teams to resolve technical issues.
• Investigate design or performance problems and recommend practical improvements.
• Support projects through design, development, testing and implementation.
• Maintain accurate technical records and ensure work meets relevant quality, safety and engineering standards.

What We’re Looking For

• Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Previous professional experience in mechanical engineering, design or a related engineering environment.
• Good knowledge of mechanical principles, materials, manufacturing processes and engineering standards.
• Experience with relevant CAD and engineering design software.
• Strong problem-solving ability with a methodical approach to technical work.
• Good attention to detail and confidence working with technical information.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
