Mechanical Engineer

Contract Location: Plainview, NY and Horsham, PA Job Description

• 3+ years of experience in mechanical design and development, preferably within the semiconductor, high-tech, or special-purpose machinery industry.
• Strong hands-on experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Pro/E (Creo), Inventor, or similar 3D CAD systems.
• Experience designing semiconductor capital equipment, including vacuum vessels, wafer handling systems, motion mechanisms, and related equipment.
• Knowledge of ion beam technology and vacuum physics is highly preferred.
• Proven experience in mechanical product design and development, from concept through production.
• Strong knowledge of machined components, manufacturing processes, and dimensional tolerances.
• Experience designing and detailing sheet metal components, including fabrication-ready drawings.
• Hands-on experience with weldment design, welding, fabrication, and related manufacturing processes.
• Strong understanding of engineering drafting standards and ASME Y14.5 GD&T principles.
• Experience working with SAP, PLM systems, and engineering change processes, including ECR, ECO, and ECN implementation.
• Experience with structural and thermal FEA, using tools such as SolidWorks Simulation, ANSYS, or similar analysis software.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline (BE/B.Tech/BS), along with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
