Mechanical Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Manage mechanical maintenance and electrical systems coordination across the manufacturing plant.
• Plan and execute preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance activities.
• Prepare preventive maintenance schedules and ensure timely execution.
• Prepare and maintain reports on breakdowns, preventive maintenance, equipment downtime and corrective actions.
• Understand engineering designs, mechanical drawings, equipment layouts and technical specifications.
• Apply knowledge of refractory manufacturing processes and plant equipment.
• Handle maintenance operations for a large manufacturing plant, ensuring equipment reliability and minimal production downtime.
• Lead, train and coordinate maintenance teams to ensure effective execution of maintenance activities.
• Identify recurring breakdowns, conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive measures.
• Coordinate with production, electrical and other departments to ensure smooth plant operations.
• Monitor maintenance costs, critical spare parts and equipment performance.
• Ensure adherence to plant safety standards and maintenance procedures.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong knowledge of the refractory industry and manufacturing processes.
• Expertise in mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting and breakdown management.
• Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems and equipment.
• Ability to understand engineering designs, drawings and technical terminology.
• Experience in handling maintenance operations in a large manufacturing plant.
• Proficiency in preventive maintenance planning, scheduling and reporting.
• Strong team-building, leadership and coordination skills.
• Problem-solving ability, with a focus on equipment reliability and downtime reduction.
• Knowledge of maintenance documentation, root cause analysis and industrial safety
