Mechanical Engineer

• Design and develop mechanical structures and components for electrical panels, switchgear, and related equipment.
• Prepare 2D and 3D mechanical drawings, including fabrication details, assembly drawings, and panel layouts.
• Develop sheet metal designs, including panel enclosures, mounting structures, and supporting components.
• Prepare and review Bill of Materials (BOM) and technical documentation for manufacturing.
• Coordinate with Electrical Engineering, Production, Procurement, and Project teams to ensure design accuracy and manufacturing readiness.
• Review mechanical designs to ensure compliance with technical specifications, customer requirements, and applicable standards.
• Support production teams in resolving mechanical design and fabrication issues.
• Evaluate and improve existing designs to optimize material usage, production efficiency, and cost.
• Ensure technical drawings and design documentation are properly maintained and updated.

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma (D3) / Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in mechanical design or engineering, preferably in the electrical panel, switchgear, or manufacturing industry.
• Proficient in SolidWorks, Solid Edge, AutoCAD, or similar mechanical design software.
• Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication, bending, welding, and assembly processes.
• Able to create and interpret 2D/3D mechanical drawings, fabrication drawings, and assembly drawings.
• Good knowledge of mechanical components, materials, tolerances, and manufacturing processes.
• Familiar with electrical panel enclosures, switchgear structures, and busbar support systems is an advantage.
• Able to prepare and review Bill of Materials (BOM) and technical specifications.
• Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.
• Detail-oriented, disciplined, and able to work within project deadlines.
• Able to communicate in English, both written and spoken, is an advantage.
