MECHANICAL ENGINEER

Great Place to Work certified, growing and leading-edge technological multinational company, located in Terrassa is seeking an MECHANICAL ENGINEER Objective: As part of the Engineering team, the Mechanical Engineer participates in the development and specification of new products, or in the improvement of existing products to improve its competitiveness. Job responsibilities: Starting from conceptual or detailed engineering design, develop 3D models and 2D drawings, specifications and solutions for mechanical hardware and production tools based on established engineering guidelines. Search for suitable suppliers, request quotes, and track orders to suppliers for product manufacturing. Develop and take part in product prototyping including management of manufacturing resources. Support in the industrialization of the product through: Development of assembly and testing processes, as well as the necessary devices and any other documentation required for engineering and production; list of materials, assembly procedures, tools, consumables, etc. Creates and maintains documentation related to the product and its processes: assembly instructions, product manuals, manufacturing instructions. Continually searches to improve methods, processes, and product performance to improve product competitivity. Job Requirements: Bachelor’s or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering. Minimum of 2 years of experience developing similar functions. Advanced level in CAD and PLM tools, like PTC Creo / Windchill or similar software. Experience in positioning systems and mechatronics. Knowledge about manufacturing by CNC machining, sheet metal and plastic casting. Familiar with industry engineering standards, like tolerances and GD&T. Knowledge about product quality and testing processes. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Fluent in English and local language. Demonstrated organizational skills, ability to independently prioritize work and appropriate attention to detail. Excellent communication and presentation skills are expected (in Spanish and English). Motivation for working in an international technological environment with a strong growth.
