Mechanical Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities

• Establish and support the development of the Fire Protection Section under the Engineering Department.
• Operate, inspect, test, and maintain fire protection systems, equipment, and tools to ensure operational readiness.
• Monitor and familiarization with the installation, operation, and maintenance of the 20 HP electric-driven fire pump and 2 HP jockey pump.
• Inspect and troubleshoot the Fire Detection and Alarm System (FDAS), including its major components and controls.
• Ensure the proper condition, accessibility, and maintenance of fire extinguishers and other firefighting equipment.
• Develop preventive maintenance schedules and maintain records of inspections, testing, repairs, and equipment servicing.
• Ensure compliance with applicable fire safety regulations and recommend improvements to existing fire protection systems.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the immediate superior or Management.

Job Qualifications

• Must have Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering; A Licensed Mechanical Engineer is preferred.
• Relevant experience, training and certification in fire protection systems, fire safety, or fire control and protection.
• Knowledgeable in the operation, inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire protection equipment and systems.
• Familiar with fire pumps, jockey pumps, FDAS, fire extinguishers, sprinklers, and other firefighting equipment.
• Knowledge of applicable Philippine fire safety regulations and standards.
• Strong technical troubleshooting, problem-solving, documentation, and coordination skills.

Pay: Php20,000.00 - Php30,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Quezon City: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Mechanical Engineer PRC License (Preferred)
