Mechanical Engineer

About the role

This role involves preparing technical reports for M&E projects, including incident reports, troubleshooting documentation, testing & commissioning reports, and upgrade evaluations. You will conduct site inspections of M&E systems—especially HVAC—to ensure proper installation, maintenance, and repair in line with design specifications, and analyze HVAC systems and equipment to identify issues and recommend effective solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare technical reports for M&E projects, including incident reports, troubleshooting documentation, testing & commissioning reports, and upgrade evaluations
• Actively participate in project mobilization and execution of new projects
• Conduct site inspections of M&E systems—especially HVAC—to ensure proper installation, maintenance, and repair in line with design specifications
• Analyze HVAC systems and equipment to identify issues and recommend effective solutions
• Communicate directly with clients to gather project requirements and provide cost, feasibility, and implementation assessments
• Prepare Bill of Quantities (BQ), scope of work, and proposals for system upgrades or modifications, including cost and timeline estimates

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent recognized qualification
• Minimum 1-2 years of relevant working experience, preferably in facilities management, building maintenance or hospital operations
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, mechanical equipment, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting
• Good technical, problem-solving and communication skills
• Registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) as a Graduate Engineer would be an advantage
