Mechanical Engineer / Technical Support Specialist

Salary: $50,000 - $80,000 per year

Our client in Humble, Texas is seeking a full-time Mechanical Engineer / Technical Support Specialist to support product troubleshooting, sample assembly, testing, after-sales technical support, and product improvement.

This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working directly with mechanical products, diagnosing problems, and developing practical solutions. The role is well suited for recent graduates or candidates with approximately 1 to 3 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble, test, and troubleshoot mechanical product samples at the U.S. warehouse

• Investigate product failures, identify root causes, and assist with practical corrective solutions

• Provide technical support for sold products, including customer inquiries and product quality concerns

• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, technical documents, and product specifications

• Work with overseas engineering and R&D teams on technical issues and product improvement

• Collect field feedback and support product testing and product iteration

• Document technical issues, corrective actions, and resolution progress

• Coordinate with operations, sales, engineering, and other internal teams

• Assist with additional hands-on technical and product support duties as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical field preferred

• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving skills

• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and technical documentation

• Experience with product assembly, testing, troubleshooting, or basic technical analysis

• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills

• Comfortable working in a warehouse and hands-on product environment

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

• Must be able to work full-time on-site in Humble, Texas

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of experience in mechanical engineering, technical support, field service, product support, or a related position

• Experience with mechanical equipment, industrial equipment, agricultural equipment, construction equipment, aftermarket parts, or related products

• Product assembly, testing, troubleshooting, repair, or field support experience

• Experience working with overseas engineering or R&D teams

• Manufacturing, warehouse, or product technical support experience

• Chinese language ability preferred, but not required

• Experience with product improvement, quality analysis, or cost reduction is a plus
