Ken Wilkins Print Company is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team and take responsibility for the mechanical reliability and continued operation of our manufacturing plant.

This is a key hands-on position within the business. Working as part of a team of four site engineers, you will be responsible for ensuring that production machinery, factory equipment and mechanical services are maintained, reliable and operational.

The role will include:

• Planned and preventative mechanical maintenance
• Fault finding and breakdown repair
• Maintaining production and finishing machinery
• Supporting compressors, pumps, motors and mechanical services
• Responding to breakdowns and minimising production downtime
• Identifying and addressing potential mechanical failures
• Taking ownership of engineering issues through to resolution

Strong mechanical engineering experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment is essential. Experience with printing, converting or production machinery, including Komori, Heidelberg or Bobst, would be advantageous.

The successful candidate will be a practical and experienced engineer who can work independently, make sound engineering decisions and contribute effectively within a small, skilled engineering team.

Applicants must live in the East Midlands and be able to travel reliably to our Colwick site.

Hours

Monday–Thursday: 8:30am–5:00pm
Friday: 8:30am–4:30pm
