Mechanical Engineer

My client is a fast growing company in the space sector and hiring for a permanent Mechanical Engineer to join them in Belgium.

Main Responsibilities:

• Develop mechanical concepts and detailed designs for space applications.

• Perform structural, thermal and mechanical analyses

• Define, prepare and execute qualification and acceptance testing

• Support manufacturing, assembly, integration and delivery activities.

• Prepare design, analysis and test documentation in accordance with ECSS.

• Present and defend technical solutions during internal and customer reviews.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering methods, tools and processes

Successful candidates will have:

• 3+ years experience as a Mechanical Engineer in a space based company
• Knowledge of ECSS/ESA standards
• Competent on CAD, structural/thermal engineering tools such as CATIA, Solidworks, Siemens NX
• Ideally some experience in bearing system design
• Fluent English language skills
