Mechanical Engineer – Data Centres

About The Role We are hiring Mechanical Engineers at Junior, Senior, and Lead levels to join our engineering team in Porto, supporting the design and delivery of large-scale Data Centre and mission-critical projects .

You will work on complex multidisciplinary projects involving HVAC, cooling systems, piping, pumps, machinery, and thermal systems , collaborating with international engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical systems including HVAC, cooling, piping, pumps, and thermal systems.
• Prepare and validate mechanical calculations, schematics, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate mechanical designs with Electrical, Structural, Civil, and other disciplines.
• Ensure compliance with ASME, ISO, ASHRAE, and applicable local standards.
• Participate in design reviews, technical coordination, and risk assessments.
• Support project delivery, technical documentation, and client coordination.
• For Senior/Lead roles: mentor engineers, lead design activities, manage project deliverables, and provide technical leadership.

Requirements Junior: 3–5 years of mechanical design experience.

Senior: 5–10 years of mechanical design experience with strong experience in large-scale projects.

Lead: 10+ years of mechanical design experience with proven team leadership and project ownership.

All Levels

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, cooling, piping, pumps, and thermal systems.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or similar design software.
• Knowledge of ASME, ISO, and ASHRAE standards.
• Experience in Data Centres, industrial, commercial, infrastructure, or other complex projects is highly desirable.
• Strong English communication skills.
