Role Summary:
The Mechanical Design Engineer will independently design, develop, and improve mechanical components and processes. This role supports project execution, technical analysis, and knowledge sharing within cross-functional teams.

What Youll Do:

• Design, develop, and modify mechanical components, assemblies, and layouts
• Perform engineering analysis (thermal, flow, structural, vibration)
• Apply Design for Excellence (DFx), ergonomics, and safety principles
• Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
• Support development of tooling, fixtures, and assembly processes
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and manufacturing issues
• Lead or execute projects of moderate scope with limited supervision
• Support end-to-end product development activities (design to validation)
• Work with suppliers for component development and qualification
• Communicate technical information and align solutions with cross-functional teams
• Support knowledge sharing within the team

What We re Looking For (Must-Haves):

• Bachelor s or Master s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 4-7 years of relevant experience in mechanical design and development
• Hands-on experience with CAD tools (Creo / NX / SolidWorks)
• Experience in GD&T and mechanical design fundamentals
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and material selection
• Experience in prototyping, product development lifecycle, testing, and validation
• Strong problem-solving skills and analytical mindset
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance
• Effective communication and teamwork skills

Good to Have (Optional - only if mentioned):

• Experience in semiconductor, machine tool, or precision equipment industries
• Exposure to product development lifecycle (design to manufacturing)
• Knowledge of vacuum or cleanroom environments
• Experience working with suppliers or cross-functional teams
• Familiarity with Applied Materials product lifecycle

Qualifications:
Bachelor s / Master s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
