Mechanical Engineer #ESS

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanical Engineer to join our team. This is a full-time position based in the Marymount Central Region. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a vital role in the design, development, and optimisation of mechanical systems and components. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects that contribute to the company's success and innovation in the engineering sector.

What you'll be doing

• Design, develop and optimise mechanical systems, components and assemblies using industry-standard CAD software and engineering principles
• Conduct feasibility studies and perform technical analysis to support project planning and execution
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation for manufacturing and assembly
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, production and quality assurance to ensure projects meet specifications and deadlines
• Perform calculations and simulations to validate designs and ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations
• Conduct testing and troubleshooting of mechanical systems to identify and resolve performance issues
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, efficiency and cost-effectiveness
• Liaise with suppliers and vendors to source materials and components whilst maintaining quality and budget requirements
• Maintain detailed project records and provide regular progress updates to management

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline

• Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks or equivalent

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capability to work effectively in team environments

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
