Mechanical Engineer (FABRICATION)

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with strong hands-on experience in steel and piping fabrication to join our team in Abu Dhabi.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate mechanical fabrication activities in the workshop and project sites.
• Review fabrication drawings, isometrics, material specifications, and project requirements.
• Monitor fabrication activities including cutting, fit-up, welding, assembly, and installation.
• Coordinate with QC, Welding, Planning, and Construction teams to ensure smooth execution.
• Monitor daily fabrication progress and manpower productivity.
• Ensure fabrication work is carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable ASME/API standards.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and site/workshop personnel.
• Identify and resolve fabrication and technical issues during execution.
• Prepare and maintain daily progress reports and fabrication records.
• Ensure compliance with company HSE and quality requirements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in mechanical fabrication, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Strong experience in Steel Structure, Piping and Mechanical Fabrication.
• Practical knowledge of fit-up, welding, fabrication, erection, and installation activities.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, isometric drawings, and fabrication drawings.
• Knowledge of relevant ASME / API / AWS standards.
• Experience working in a fabrication workshop and coordinating with QC and production teams.
• Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• UAE experience and ADNOC project experience will be an advantage.
• Candidates available in the UAE are preferred.
