Position Overview/Duties About the Position: Serve as a hydropower mechanical engineering specialist in the field of powerhouse and pumping station mechanical systems. Renders advisory and consultative services to all Corps Districts and Divisions that are involved with hydropower or have large pumping stations.

Other Conditions And Requirements This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. This position requires a 1 year probationary period during which the agency evaluates your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest. Continued employment requires written certification that it advances the public interest. Direct deposit of pay is required. This position requires you to submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees. Multiple positions may be filled from this announcement. Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement. Position is approved for hydropower-related Special Salary Rate Table in accordance with Northwestern Division's Program Guidance and Delegation for the Position Management and Classification Programs. Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government interest. Recruitment/Relocation, Advanced-in-Hire, Leave Accrual, or Student Loan Repayment incentive may be authorized if determined to be in the best interest of the government.
