Mechanical Engineer (Intermediate)

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with 2–3 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering, HVAC design, and construction. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of HVAC and mechanical systems, proficiency in AutoCAD, and the ability to prepare and review technical drawings, coordinate with other engineering disciplines, and support the implementation of mechanical works.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop mechanical and HVAC plans, layouts, and detailed drawings using AutoCAD.
• Assist in the design and review of HVAC systems, including ductwork, piping, ventilation, and equipment layouts.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Perform HVAC load calculations, equipment selection, and basic mechanical calculations.
• Prepare material take-offs, equipment schedules, and other technical documents.
• Review mechanical and HVAC drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements, codes, and standards.
• Coordinate mechanical designs and requirements with Architectural, Electrical, Plumbing, Structural, and other disciplines.
• Conduct site inspections and assist in identifying and resolving mechanical and HVAC issues during project implementation.
• Monitor mechanical and HVAC installation works to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, and quality standards.
• Assist in preparing technical submissions, project reports, as-built drawings, and other project documentation.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, consultants, and project teams regarding mechanical and HVAC requirements.
• Assist in monitoring project progress and addressing technical concerns related to mechanical works.
• Perform other mechanical engineering and project-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Registered Mechanical Engineer (RME) is preferred/required, depending on project requirements.
• At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering, HVAC, MEPF, or construction projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, particularly in preparing mechanical and HVAC drawings.
• Experience in HVAC design, installation, coordination, or project implementation.
• Good understanding of mechanical systems, HVAC equipment, ductwork, piping, and ventilation.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Knowledge of applicable mechanical, building, and construction codes and standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
• Willing to work onsite and conduct project/site visits as required.
