Mechanical Engineer (LTA / M&E Project)

Our client

Our client is an established engineering company with over 40 years of presence in Singapore and a strong track record in delivering M&E solutions for major infrastructure and LTA projects.

The role

The Mechanical Engineer will support the PD401 project across engineering, procurement, material submissions, QA/QC and project documentation. The role involves close coordination with clients, contractors, suppliers and project stakeholders to support the timely and compliant delivery of project requirements.

Salary: Up to S$5,300 + Variable Bonus

Working hours: Monday to Friday office hours

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation, review and management of Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors to support sourcing activities.
• Assist with material documentation, client approvals and submissions to LTA.
• Support procurement activities, including material purchasing and coordination with suppliers.
• Assist with QA/QC activities and documentation to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
• Prepare and update monthly project reports, including progress tracking and project documentation.
• Maintain and update cycle check schedules to support timely inspections and project compliance.
• Perform engineering duties including design, engineering calculations, planning and tender preparation or evaluation.
• Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation for engineering deliverables.
• Liaise with clients, project managers, architects, contractors and other relevant stakeholders.
• Assist in resolving technical issues arising during the design and construction stages.
• Support other engineering and project-related responsibilities as required by the Project Team.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

• Relevant experience in engineering or construction projects would be advantageous.

• Experience with BOQ preparation, procurement, sourcing or material submissions would be advantageous.

• Familiarity with QA/QC processes and engineering documentation.

• Exposure to LTA or infrastructure projects would be advantageous.

• Able to communicate effectively with clients, contractors, suppliers and internal project stakeholders.
