Mechanical Engineer – LTA Project | BOQ | 5 Days | West

Responsibilities:

• Support the execution of mechanical engineering activities for an LTA infrastructure project, ensuring smooth coordination of procurement, documentation, quality assurance, and project progress.
• Assist in preparing, reviewing, and managing Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and engineering documentation.
• Source and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors, supporting procurement and cost control activities.
• Prepare and submit material approvals, technical documents, and LTA/client submissions in accordance with project requirements.
• Coordinate material purchases and deliveries to ensure timely project execution.
• Support QA/QC activities by monitoring compliance with project specifications, inspection requirements, and quality standards.
• Prepare monthly project progress reports and maintain accurate project records and documentation.
• Update and monitor cycle check schedules to ensure inspections and project milestones are completed on time.
• Liaise with internal departments, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project coordination.
• Perform other engineering and project coordination duties assigned by the Project Manager.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

• Experience in LTA or infrastructure projects will be an advantage.

• Familiar with BOQ preparation, procurement coordination, material submissions, and engineering documentation.

• Knowledge of QA/QC processes, inspections, and project quality standards.

• Able to coordinate effectively with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.

• Good organisational, communication, and documentation skills.
