Mechanical Engineer | Electrical Infrastructure

• +3 years of experience in electrical distribution or energy infrastructure.

About Our Client Our client is a global company specializing in electrical infrastructure and power distribution solutions, with operations across the United States and Mexico. As part of its continued growth, the organization is launching a new Engineering Technical Center in Tijuana to support product development and engineering services for industrial and energy markets.

Job Description

• Design and develop mechanical components, structures, and assemblies for electrical distribution equipment.
• Create 3D models, manufacturing drawings, and technical documentation using SolidWorks.
• Collaborate with engineering teams in Mexico and the United States on product development and improvement initiatives.
• Participate in design-for-manufacturing projects focused on quality, efficiency, and cost optimization.
• Evaluate technical requirements and develop solutions for multiple business units.
• Provide engineering support to manufacturing facilities across Mexico and the United States.
• Work cross-functionally to implement product changes and engineering improvements.
• Contribute to the development of new products within the Engineering Technical Center.

The Successful Applicant The Successful Applicant Should Have

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in product design and development within industrial environments.
• Experience in electrical distribution, power infrastructure, or related industries.
• Strong SolidWorks skills for 3D modeling, mechanical design, and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of Sheet Metal, GD&T, and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Mexico and the United States.
• Experience developing technical solutions for complex industrial products.
• Professional English communication skills for international projects and meetings.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Interest in growing within a newly established Engineering Center with long-term career development opportunities.
