Mechanical Engineer-Outage Planning and Execution

GPSC is seeking a highly motivated Engineer to join our Outage Planning & Execution team. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing plant turnaround and maintenance outage activities to ensure power plant equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate plant turnaround and maintenance outage activities for major equipment.
• Develop and support outage master plans, schedules, and execution strategies.
• Monitor outage progress, critical path activities, and contractor performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure maintenance activities align with operational requirements.
• Analyze lessons learned and identify opportunities for continuous improvement in turnaround management.
• Coordinate with service providers and contractors under maintenance service agreements (LTSA, CSA, LTMC, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, regulatory, and company requirements.
• Support maintenance planning and business improvement initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in power plant maintenance or related industrial operations.
• Experience in plant turnaround, outage management, shutdown planning, or maintenance projects is preferred.
• TOEIC 550

Preferred Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of power plant processes and operations.
• Knowledge of Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine, HRSG, Generator, and related equipment maintenance.
• Familiarity with engineering codes and standards (e.g., ASME, IEEE).
• Experience in outage planning and turnaround management.
• Knowledge of maintenance service contracts and vendor management.
• Competency in data analysis, root cause analysis, and performance improvement.
• Experience using CMMS systems (SAP) and planning/scheduling tools.
