Mechanical Engineer PE

We are Bildworx Design, an MEP engineering firm located in the Fort Lauderdale area, and we’re looking to add a Mechanical Engineer PE to our team. Our services include MEP Engineering Design, Technology Systems Design, and Specialty Lighting Design.

Some things you’ll be responsible for:

• Leading the design for various construction projects with a strong knowledge of mechanical engineering concepts.
• Designing HVAC systems, including equipment specification and selection.
• Performing thermal load and energy calculations as required.
• Managing projects to ensure successful delivery of project milestones.
• Coordinating project-related communication between clients and team members.
• Tracking project open items and working with clients to resolve issues.
• Conducting project site visits, documenting existing conditions, and attending client meetings if needed.
• Complying with all authorities and staying current on all applicable code requirements.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license required for the state of Florida.
• 5-10 years of experience in mechanical HVAC design.
• 3-5 years of experience in project management.
• AutoCAD and REVIT proficiency.
• Professional, positive, solution-driven, willing to learn.
• Strong desire to produce quality work and meet project deadlines.
• Excellent client-facing skills, including communication and follow-through.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
• Candidate must be located in Broward, Miami-Dade, or Palm Beach County.

Additional preferred qualifications:

• Plumbing system design.
• Fire protection system design.
• LEED AP.
