Mechanical Engineer- Precision Manufacturing Industry

1. Product Design & Development

·       Design and optimize aerospace fasteners (bolts, screws, rivets, nuts, etc.) in accordance with NAS, MS, AS, and AN standards.

·       Develop 3D models, engineering drawings, and technical specifications using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).

·       Select appropriate materials (Inconel, waspaloy, stainless steel, etc.) based on strength, durability, and weight requirements.

·       Conduct stress analysis, FEA (Finite Element Analysis), and performance testing to validate designs.

2. Manufacturing Process Support

·       Work with production teams to improve manufacturing processes, including cold heading, hot forging, CNC machining, heat treatment, and coating.

·       Develop and optimize process parameters to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure product quality.

·       Troubleshoot mechanical issues in production and recommend engineering solutions.

3. Quality Assurance & Compliance

·       Ensure all mechanical components and processes comply with AS9100, NADCAP, ISO 9001, and customer-specific aerospace requirements.

·       Conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions (RCCA) for mechanical failures or non-conformances.

·       Work closely with the quality control team to establish testing and inspection procedures.

4. Equipment & Tooling Design

·       Design and improve tooling, jigs, and fixtures to enhance production efficiency and accuracy.

·       Work with maintenance teams to ensure proper calibration and functionality of mechanical equipment.

·       Evaluate new technologies for automation and process improvement.

5. Continuous Improvement & Innovation

·       Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to optimize processes and reduce defects.

·       Research and integrate new materials, coatings, and mechanical innovations into fastener designs.

·       Stay updated on the latest aerospace engineering trends and regulatory changes.
