Mechanical Engineer (Production)

Bhagwati Group is looking for a Mechanical Engineer – Production for our rice processing/milling plant. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth plant operations, achieving production targets, monitoring rice milling machinery, and coordinating with the maintenance team to minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor daily production and ensure achievement of production targets.
• Operate and monitor rice mill machinery including cleaners, destoners, huskers, separators, polishers, graders, elevators, conveyors, and packing systems.
• Monitor rice recovery, head rice yield, broken rice, and process losses.
• Identify production and mechanical issues and coordinate timely corrective action.
• Coordinate with the Maintenance team for breakdown and preventive maintenance.
• Monitor the condition of bearings, belts, pulleys, gearboxes, shafts, conveyors, and other mechanical equipment.
• Ensure proper machine settings for efficient production and consistent rice quality.
• Maintain daily production and downtime records.
• Coordinate with Quality, Electrical, Maintenance, Stores, and Packing teams.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, safety, housekeeping, and 5S standards.
• Support initiatives to improve productivity, reduce downtime, wastage, and energy consumption.

Requirements

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–7 years of experience in rice milling, food processing, grain processing, or manufacturing.
• Practical knowledge of mechanical equipment and production processes.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work hands-on in a plant/shop-floor environment.
• Good communication and team coordination skills.
• Basic knowledge of MS Excel and production reporting.

Preferred: Candidates with prior experience in a rice mill/rice processing plant will be preferred.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
