Mechanical Engineer (Project Coordinator)

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer (Project Coordinator) to represent PACE in project meetings, site coordination and dealings with Clients, Contractors, Consultants and relevant Authorities.

This role is particularly suitable for an engineer who enjoys meeting people, communicating with different project clients and being involved at project sites, rather than a purely desk-based design role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Attend all meetings on behalf of PACE.
• Represent PACE professionally when dealing with Clients, Contractors, Consultants and relevant Authorities.
• Liaise and coordinate with relevant Authorities for submissions, comments, inspections, approvals and other project-related matters.
• Understand meeting discussions, identify action items and communicate important matters clearly to the Project Director and internal project team.
• Follow up project matters with Clients, Contractors, Consultants, Authorities and other relevant parties.
• Attend site inspections, testing & commissioning and other project-related site activities when required.
• Assist in resolving site and coordination issues.
• Coordinate with PACE's internal engineering and design team for drawings, submissions and project deliverables.
• Prepare meeting notes, reports, correspondence and other project documentation when required.
• Travel to project sites and attend outstation meetings when required, including assignments within Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak that may require staying outstation for several days.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience as a Mechanical Engineer in an M&E / Building Services Consultancy firm.
• Enjoys meeting and communicating with people, and is comfortable building professional relationships with Clients, Contractors and Consultants.
• Confident dealing and communicating with Authorities for project-related matters.
• Confident speaking and representing the company in project meetings and site discussions.
• Comfortable with frequent site visits and outstation travel throughout Malaysia, including assignments that may require staying away from home for several days.
• Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• ood knowledge of Mechanical Building Services such as ACMV, Fire Protection, Plumbing & Sanitary, with general understanding of Electrical Building Services.
• Possess a valid driving license and own transport.

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
