Mechanical Engineer / Senior Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the design, development, coordination, and supervision of the ACMV system. This role requires strong technical competency, independent thinking, and problem-solving abilities to ensure successful project delivery. As a key member of our engineering team, you will gain exposure to local statutory requirements, industry standards, project management, equipment selection, and cost control.

Key responsibilities

• Involved in design development drawings and material submissions for approval, QA/QC works such as inspection, testing & commissioning, and handover of installation
• Attend meetings and prepare reports for site progress and schedules
• Coordinate the site safety management system
• Liaise and coordinate ACMV installations with the main contractor, suppliers, and subcontractors
• Supervise and monitor daily site work done, and plan for catch-up as required

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Open to fresh graduates as well as candidates with relevant working experience
• Experience in ACMV, chilled water system installation, and design will be an advantage
• Ability to perform basic engineering calculations with MS Excel
• Effective communication and coordination skills to liaise effectively with the main contractor and subcontractors
• Good understanding of engineering principles and drawings
• Proficient in both written and spoken English
• Good interpersonal skills and able to interface with all levels, internally and externally, in a professional and responsive manner
