Mechanical Engineer (SQE)

About the role

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will visit subcontractor machining factories in Chonburi, Rayong, and other areas as required. You will review engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, GD&T, material specifications, and customer requirements, and monitor casting, CNC machining, surface treatment, inspection, packaging, and related manufacturing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Visit subcontractor machining factories in Chonburi, Rayong, and other areas as required
• Review engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, GD&T, material specifications, and customer requirements
• Monitor casting, CNC machining, surface treatment, inspection, packaging, and related manufacturing processes
• Review first-article inspection reports, dimensional reports, CMM results, material certificates, and production-quality records
• Identify production bottlenecks, quality problems, scrap, rework, and potential shipment delays
• Investigate nonconforming products and lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions using 8D, CAPA, or similar methods
• Conduct supplier process audits and verify that corrective actions have been properly implemented
• Support new-product introduction, sample production, PPAP/FAI preparation, and transfer to mass production
• Track supplier performance for quality, delivery, responsiveness, and continuous improvement
• Prepare clear English reports covering production status, quality issues, risks, corrective actions, and delivery schedules

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Production, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
• At least five years of experience in supplier quality, production engineering, manufacturing engineering, or quality engineering
• Have worked on factory floor
• Practical experience with CNC-machined metal parts, castings, or industrial mechanical components
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and understand dimensional tolerances and GD&T
• Familiarity with CMM inspection, PPAP, FAI, 8D, CAPA, FMEA, SPC, MSA, and supplier audits
• Experience with Micrometer and Depth gauge (must)
• Good spoken and written English, including the ability to prepare reports and participate in international meetings
• Native-level Thai communication
• Willing and able to travel frequently to supplier factories

• Base Salary (fixed) per month (to be confirmed after the interview)
• Social Security 5% (deducted from employee 5% but not over 875 THB per month + employer 5%)
