What they need
- The Mechanical Engineer, Structures will play a critical role in driving our mission to make data universally available, secure and actionable anywhere on the planet.
- This position will report to the VP, Satellite Platform and will work closely with the broader engineering team
- Work closely with the satellite design team to design satellite structures and mechanisms
- Serve as the CAD modeling expert (SolidWorks) managing complex CAD assemblies and drawings
- Lead mechanical engineering design reviews
- Drive the development of build documents and drawings for your hardware
- Define, build and test your designs from 3D printed engineering units to flight hardware
- Support the fabrication assembly and testing of our flight build- You have experience with mechanical design to survive extreme environments and challenging mass constraints
- You have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Aerospace or equivalent real-world design and build experience
- You have at least 2 years of hands-on experience using your CAD skills to develop and build models and drawings
- You have successfully implemented your design solutions in a complex space
- E-Space is not currently able to provide employment sponsorship for candidates who do not hold work authorization for the location of this role
