Mechanical Engineer (Technical Drawings)

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with strong expertise in reading and preparing technical drawings using AutoCAD. The role requires precision in interpreting engineering designs, producing accurate technical documentation, and supporting construction and installation works at outstation site projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and update mechanical technical drawings using AutoCAD.
• Interpret engineering specifications and translate them into detailed shop drawings.
• Coordinate with civil and project engineers to ensure mechanical designs align with structural and concreting works.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of all technical drawings and revisions.
• Provide technical support during site installation and construction phases.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and project requirements.
• Work independently to manage drawing schedules and deliverables.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in preparing and interpreting technical drawings.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of other design software (SolidWorks, Creo, etc.) is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, documentation, and reporting skills.
• Ability to work under stress with multidisciplinary teams.
• Good communication skills in English and Chinese.
• Must be able to travel to site locations around Johor and have own transport.
