Mechanical Engineering Intern

About the role

ALL BE CONNECT SDN. BHD. is seeking a talented and motivated Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our engineering team in Bayan Lepas, Penang. This is a contract position that offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in mechanical engineering whilst contributing to real-world projects. Key responsibilities

• Assist in the design and analysis of mechanical components and systems using CAD software and engineering principles
• Support senior engineers in conducting technical calculations, simulations, and feasibility studies for projects
• Participate in the preparation of technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation
• Contribute to the testing, prototyping, and evaluation of mechanical designs and prototypes
• Assist in the assembly, installation, and commissioning of mechanical systems and equipment
• Conduct literature reviews and research on engineering materials, technologies, and best practices relevant to current projects
• Support quality assurance and inspection activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards
• Maintain accurate records of project data, test results, and engineering documentation
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to problem-solving discussions

What we're looking for

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree programme in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals, including mechanics, thermodynamics, and materials science
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar design tools
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work through complex technical challenges
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with the capacity to work effectively within a collaborative engineering environment
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate technical work and documentation
• Willingness to learn and develop technical skills through hands-on experience
• Basic knowledge of engineering standards, safety practices, and quality assurance principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with technical software is advantageous
