Mechanical Engineering Technician II

Position : Mechanical Engineering Technician II Location : San Diego, CA Duration : 12 Months **Total Hours/week : 40.00

pay rate-$20-25/hr** 1st Shift Client: Medical Device Company Job Category: Engineering Level of Experience: Mid-Level Employment Type: Contract on W2 (Need US Citizens or GC Holders Only) Job Description The Engineering Technician will perform the following duties:

• Assist engineers as they create, modify, and test products and processes
• Use complex measurement equipment to collect and record data
• Execution of designed test protocol and conduct testing
• Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data
• Help scope equipment for use and complete qualifications
• Assist engineers in development of test fixtures and test methods
• Operate and maintain test equipment
• Use typical hand tools to build and set-up equipment using drawings and other documentation
• Works with team to organize lab functions & test equipment
• Notifies manager upon recognition of factors that may affect project
• Effective documentation and communication of test results
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma / GED
• A combination of equivalent education and experience or a minimum of training beyond high school or secondary school in a technical discipline with more than 2 years relevant experience or a combination of equivalent education and experience
• Experience using laboratory test equipment
• Demonstrated knowledge and familiarity of electro-mechanical devices
• Proficiency with personal computers and experience using MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint
• Ability to follow directions and effectively execute written and verbal instructions
• Ability to work closely and collaborate in a team environment
• Good attention to detail
