Mechanical Estimator

Mechanical Estimator Location: South Saint Paul, MN

Salary: $70K-$120K (Based on experience)

Position Overview

A leading mechanical contractor is seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial and industrial mechanical construction projects. This individual will analyze drawings and specifications, develop competitive bids, and work closely with project managers, vendors, and subcontractors throughout the preconstruction process.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Mechanical Estimating experience
• Strong background in HVAC, Plumbing, and Mechanical Systems
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents
• Experience preparing detailed project takeoffs and cost estimates
• Knowledge of construction means, methods, and materials

Responsibilities

• Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents
• Perform material, labor, and equipment takeoffs
• Prepare accurate project estimates and bid proposals
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing
• Assist with value engineering opportunities
