What they need
Company Description At BIM Modeling Services India, we are advancing the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) sector through cutting-edge Building Information Modeling (BIM) solutions. Our team of BIM specialists works with Digital Twins, 4D/5D simulation, BIM Execution Planning (BEP), Generative Design, and Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) to deliver innovative outcomes on every project. We collaborate with leading general contractors on high-profile projects, using AI-driven BIM workflows, reality capture, and Common Data Environment (CDE) practices to improve decision-making and reduce costs. By focusing on sustainable, data-rich models, we support smarter design, construction, and facility management. Applicants joining the team will contribute to shaping the future of construction with advanced BIM strategies.
Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mechanical Estimator role based in Gurugram. The Mechanical Estimator will review mechanical drawings, BIM models, and project specifications to prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other mechanical systems. The role includes analyzing labor, material, and equipment costs; obtaining and evaluating vendor and subcontractor quotations; and preparing bid proposals and budget estimates in alignment with project requirements. The Mechanical Estimator will collaborate closely with project managers, BIM coordinators, and engineering teams to verify design assumptions, resolve discrepancies, and ensure estimates reflect scope and constructability. Day-to-day responsibilities also include updating cost databases, participating in value engineering and risk assessments, and supporting clients and internal stakeholders with clear, data-backed estimate reports.
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical estimating capabilities, including quantity takeoffs, cost breakdowns, and bid preparation for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Proficiency with estimating and BIM-related tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and standard estimating software) and comfort working with 3D/4D BIM models.
- Solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles, construction methods, building services design, and relevant codes and standards.
- Advanced analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and schedules accurately.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams and present estimates to stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and capacity to manage multiple bids and deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Prior experience as a Mechanical Estimator in the AEC sector; exposure to BIM-based workflows and AI-driven tools is an advantage.
