What You’ll Do

You’ll be the architect of possibility — translating drawings, specs, and site conditions into competitive, accurate estimates that win work and build trust. You’ll collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to shape proposals that are as smart as they are strategic.

Your Impact

• 🔍 Analyze mechanical drawings and specs (HVAC, plumbing, piping) to develop detailed cost estimates

• 🧮 Quantify materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs using industry-standard tools

• 🧠 Evaluate project risks, constructability, and value engineering opportunities

• 🤝 Collaborate with preconstruction, operations, and business development teams to align scope and strategy

• 📊 Prepare bid packages, proposals, and presentations that tell a compelling story

• 🧩 Maintain historical cost data and stay ahead of market trends, pricing shifts, and innovations

• 🛠 Participate in design-build and conceptual estimating efforts for early-stage projects

What You Bring

• 2–5 years of mechanical estimating experience in commercial or industrial construction

• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems

• Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Trimble, QuickPen, QuoteSoft, Bluebeam)

• Ability to read between the lines — spotting scope gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities

• Excellent communication and presentation skills — you make numbers make sense

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience
