Maintenance Fitter – Food Manufacturing 
Pay Rate: $55 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday – Day Shift

The Opportunity We’re looking for an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join a well-established food manufacturing operation in Sydney. This is a great opportunity to join a busy production environment where reliability, teamwork and quality are at the heart of everything the site does.

You’ll play a key role in keeping production equipment running safely and efficiently, carrying out preventative maintenance, responding to breakdowns and helping minimise downtime across the factory.

If you’re a hands-on fitter who enjoys fault-finding, problem-solving and working with automated production equipment, this could be the opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative and condition-based maintenance across food processing machinery and production equipment.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns, diagnose faults and complete repairs to minimise production downtime.
• Identify recurring equipment issues and contribute to root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Inspect machinery and assess equipment condition to identify potential maintenance requirements before failures occur.
• Work closely with production and maintenance teams to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.

What We’re Looking For

• Trade-qualified Maintenance Fitter – essential.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Experience maintaining and repairing automated production equipment.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding, troubleshooting and repair skills.
• The ability to identify equipment issues and prioritise maintenance tasks effectively.

Highly regarded: EWP, Confined Space and Forklift licences.
