About the Role We are seeking experienced, trade-qualified Mechanical Fitters to join our team supporting Defence maintenance operations in South Australia.

You will undertake mechanical installation, maintenance, fault-finding, repair and overhaul of equipment and systems in a safety-critical, highly regulated environment.

• Monday–Friday roster, with overtime opportunities on weekdays and weekends
• Enterprise Agreement (EA) rates based on skills and experience, plus superannuation
• $40 per day client site allowance
• Opportunity to contribute to significant Defence maintenance operations

Skills, Qualifications & Experience

• Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter – Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade or equivalent
• Australian citizenship is essential due to Defence site requirements
• Ability to obtain and maintain the security clearance required for the role, where applicable
• Ability to obtain a satisfactory National Police Check
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening
• Proven experience in mechanical maintenance, installation, assembly and overhaul
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Experience with pumps, valves, compressors, gearboxes, piping and rotating equipment
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics and manuals
• Competence in precision fitting, alignment and mechanical assembly
• Strong understanding of WHS requirements and site safety procedures
• Defence, marine, industrial maintenance, shutdown or project experience highly regarded
• Ability to work effectively within strict procedures and controlled environments
• Current driver's licence
• Physically capable of performing the inherent requirements of the role
