Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Mechanical Insulator to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing insulation systems on various mechanical equipment and building structures. Your expertise will help ensure energy efficiency, safety, and durability across diverse projects. Duties

• Install insulation materials such as fiberglass, foam, or mineral wool on pipes, ducts, tanks, and mechanical systems following blueprints and schematics.
• Interpret technical drawings and schematics to accurately execute insulation layouts and specifications.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely to cut, shape, and secure insulation materials in accordance with safety protocols.
• Follow blueprint specifications meticulously to ensure proper insulation installation that meets project standards.
• Climb ladders, scaffolding, or other elevated structures safely to access hard-to-reach areas during installation.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety procedures including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and power tool safety guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress, site conditions, or technical issues.

Requirements

• Proven construction experience with a focus on mechanical insulation installation.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
• Strong mechanical knowledge combined with familiarity of construction estimating processes.
• Proficiency in using hand tools such as knives, scrapers, tape measures, and caulking guns; experience with power tools including saws and drills is essential.
• Knowledge of mechanical insulation installation techniques including fabrication.
• Physical ability to climb ladders or scaffolding regularly and work at heights safely.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to installation tasks.
• Understanding of safety protocols related to construction sites and power tool operation.
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and teamwork coordination.
• Construction site experience with a focus on HVAC systems.

Pay: $27.68 - $37.00 per hour
